WX 8.1/16.3 - Increasing the pool size for the COM+ components.

Issue:
If the Windows Server has multiple CPU cores, the rendering server configuration can be changed to improve performance when converting images and rendering foreign files.  The default pool size of 10 for the Web Access Image Convertor and the Web Access Foreign File Convertor can be increased by 5 * number of CPU cores.  For example, a 4 CPU Core System can be set to a pool size of 20.

Solution:
  1. Calculate the Pool Size 5* CPU Cores.
  2. In the Start Box or on Windows Search, type “Component Services” and type Enter.
  3. Expand Components Services -> Computers -> My Computer -> COM+ Applications.
  4. Right-Click on the “Web Access Foreign File Convertor and select Properties.
  5. Click on the Pooling & Recycling Tab.
  6. In the Pool Size box, enter the new value.
  7. Example for a 4 CPU Core System the value is 20.
  8. Click Apply and then OK.
  9. Right click on “Web Access Foreign File Converter” and select Shut Down and then Start.
  10. Repeat the steps for the “Web Access Image Converter”.
